In October, the EC approved a roadmap for the conduct of by-elections to fill vacant positions existing in various Local Government Councils across the country. The vacancies include the District Chairperson for Kayunga; Sub-County level chairpersons, Councilors at the City/District, Municipality/City Division and Sub-County/Town Council/Municipal Division level and Councilors representing Special Interest Groups.
