The ruling National resistance movement seeks to ammend the law to allow for party representatives to join district local governments as ex official members.
The move was revealed in a resolution by the party’s top organ, the central executive committee after a two day retreat held at State house Entebbe.
To cause legislation providing explicitly for the inclusion of chairpersons of the ruling party/ organization structures as ex-officio members at the various levels of local government councils.

The party also resolved to further mobilize the public to engage in wealth creation programs.
