President Yoweri Museveni has promoted his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba to the rank of General and dropped him from Chief of Lands replacing him with Maj. Gen. Muhanga Kayanja. The promotion had occurred amid controversial tweets of Muhoozi about “capturing” Kenya.

Muhoozi, made indications of leaving his post early Tuesday morning and further said he had discussed with his father, the President, and that changes would be announced.
