Promoters have failed to buy a ticket for American gospel artist Travis Greene for a live concert at Imperial Royale Hotel and Lugogo Hockey ground in Kampala.
In a video released this morning by the artist perplexing many, Greene says that he will not be performing in Kampala this year.
“Something has happened that is completely out of our hands. We literally have no plane tickets. Trust me, if we could be there, we definitely would. The Kenya and Zimbabwe concerts are still on, but for Uganda and Rwanda, we unfortunately cannot make it this week,” the artist said at Nigeria International Airport.
This left hundreds of fans who had already purchased their tickets wondering whether the organisers of the show would refund their money.
Eloah Risen Life Ministries found Bweyogere, who had been behind the organization of the concert, unreachable by press time to comment on the matter but the mood among the many fans on social media was somber.
“What happens to our money, will they refund it or what?” one of the fans said.
This is due to failure of Uganda and Rwandese promoters to secure the artist and his team flight tickets from Nigeria Lagos where they were caught by surprise at the airport that they cannot travel.
