Prisons Netball club’s shooter Christine Namulumba won the outstanding performance award in December’s year’s Forte bet real stars awards.
Namulumba raised her standard when Prisons beat Uhamiaji 61-27, humiliated JKT with 62-24 and also damaging KVZ with a 66-27 win.
She scored 118 goals in 3 matches while in the East African Netball Championship at Kamwokya community sports grounds, Kampala which made her an extraordinary player in the month of December year 2022.
As she received her accolade at Route 256 Restaurant at Lugogo, Namulumba said;
“It was by God’s grace for me to appear at the podium of Forte Bet Real stars awards as an outstanding player of the month of December. I will continue working hard and focus on my target of becoming the top scorer of the league and also wining the trophy for the prisons”, she added.
Namulumba surpassed the performance of Weyonje Netball club’s defender Faridah Kadondi and Police’s attacker Barbara Namukaaya.
Prisons Netball club, who seat third on the table 4 points behind leaders KCCA are fighting for the season’s trophy the campaign led by their superstar with 177goals in 4 games and the overall top scorer of the league with 430goals, Namulumba is expected to be the right replacement of the soon retiring superstar Peace Proscovia.
This is the second time a netballer is winning this award after KCCA’s defender Sandra Nambirige.
