Saracen security Company has come out to pledge support for Hellen Nekesa, a student of Kololo SS whom we featured in our special report pens and guns.
The company has pledged to support the senior Four student to continue with her studies to completion ending the threat of a drop out which was looming large over Nekesa’s future.
“We have decided that we shall pay for her full education and accommodation and we shall contribute for the sister too,” Mr Alex Akandwanaho the Chief Executive Officer Saracen Uganda Ltd said.
Following our story, PENS AND GUNS, NEKESA AGAINST ALL ODDS, which ran on our broadcast wing, where says she goes to school during the day and works as a security guard during the night.
The odds were tilted against Nekesa in Kampala and this was devastating for her as a young girl who is still in school and at the same time working as a security guard.
Various well-wishers have since come out and pledged to support Nekesa with accommodation, school fees and other requirements that can help her sustain her livelihood during her stay here in Kampala.
One of the people who came out to give support to Nekesa is the security organization she was working for SARACEN UGANDA LTD who decided to her on and provide to her the support that is to say her education and other basic needs where possible.
Thus the company that she has been working for has decided to help her out.
The company has also decided to give her back the job in the company where she will be given full salary just like before in order to sustain her if she still wishes to work in their company as a security guard. “And she is still our staff by the way so she will have her full salary” Mr Akandwanaho said.
According to the SARACEN Company most of their staff are studying just like Nekesa, some of their staff are students who work during the day and study in the night while some work during night and study during day. These use the salary they get to pay their accommodation and fees.
“We are identifying all our staff who are struggling one by one and we are reaching out to them just like how we have reached Hellen.”- SARACEN said
Nekesa has been a hardworking lady and she has given us light to help more people who need help from us- they added.
