The body of the Late Speaker Rt. Hon. Jacob L’okori Oulanyah has been taken to Parliament from Muyenga, his home where it was since he arrived on 1 April 2022.
His body was received by officials in government, friends and family at Entebbe International Airport.
In a plenary sitting, the newly voted Speaker Anita Among urged members to talk about the late only things they hope he would love to hear besides politics. She stated;
“When you stand, speak what Oulanyah would love to hear. He was a peaceful man. Politics aside, let’s talk about our leader who is lying here. Things he would love to hear”
Oulanyah’s body will be airlifted on Wednesday 6 April 2022 to his home district Omoro where prayers will be held on Thursday and the be buried on Friday 8 April 2022.
Oulanyah’s death was known to the world on Sunday 20th March 2022.
