The weekend was an exciting one as the different teams come back from the two weeks break from the NBL games.
The Friday games kick-started by the KCCA Leopards and the JT Lady Jaguars at the MTN Arena stadium in a tight fight the KCCA Leopards emerged victorious with a one-point win over the lady Jaguars 55: 54. Susan Becky Anyu was named player of the match scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 block.
The UCU cannons and the D-Mark power game did not happen as the UCU were given a walkover due to failure to adhere to the kits rule as the home team puts on a lighter color while the away team puts on a darker color. D-mark Power earned free 20points for this as per NBL rules.
The Saturday got even more interesting as there were more games to watch the entire day.
Kampala Rockets and Rez Life Saints game ended with a difference of 9 points as final scores settled for 81:72, respectively. Francis Kasinde was named the player of the match putting up 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Kampala University ladies lost to KIU Rangers with 64:45 in favor of KIU Rangers. In this particular game, Mary Amaniyo Moses was the man of the game having 14 points 16 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Ndejje Angels faced Our Savior and in a tough fight, Ndejje emerged victorious with a one-point difference as the scores were 99:98 and Kumbai Ayol was named the man of the match for this game.
UCU Lady Cannons and Miracle Ravens faced each other and UCU bagged a win against them and the scores were 67:58 in favor of UCU Lady Cannons.
The KIU Titans and the KCCA Panthers close the games of the day with a win for the Titans. Scores were 75: 45 in favor of the Titans and Amisi Said Danny is the man of this game with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.
The weekend games were wrapped up on Sunday with KIU Rangers versing lady marines in the first game of the day the Rangers take the win in 89:61 scores and these scores are in favor of the Rangers Kanyamuneza Inez is the player of this game.
Next off the Kampala University ladies verse Angels and the Kampala University ladies bag the win with scores 62: 59 Mary Batambuliza is the player of this game with 21 points, 21 rebounds, and 1 assist. D-mark power play against JKL Dolphins and the scores were 71:60 in favor of JKL Dolphins Kassa Ahmed is the man of this game with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
The most interesting game of the day was the UCU Lady Cannons and the JT Lady Jaguars as it was a fight and ended up in overtime. The first half of the game was tied up with scores reading 29:29 and end of game time 64:64 but the JT Jaguars managed to secure the win with a scorecard reading 73: 66 in favor of the JT Lady Jaguars and Brenda Kayaga was the player of this game having 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 3assists.
