Dorothy Nabulime, woman  captured on camera tormenting her 2-year-old daughter.

The Criminal Investigations Directorate -CID has launched a hunt for Isaac Male, the husband of Dorothy Nabulime, the Wobulenzi woman  captured on camera tormenting her 2-year-old daughter.

CID insists on arresting Male after locals revealed that he was unbothered as his wife Nabulime tortured the helpless infant she produced in her previous relationship.
Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, explained Nabulime got married to Male when the victim was one year old. According to Enanga, neighbours often saw Nabulime mistreating the innocent girl but Male would just look on.
Enanga says that Male must explain why he kept on watching instead of restraining his wife from unleashing danger on the victim who knows nothing about the problematic relationship she had with the father.
CID said investigations show Nabulime has three children with the first one who is now four years old was produced with the first known man-friend, a one Christopher Kivumbi.
Detectives from CID under the department of Child and Family Protection Unit (CFPU) have said Nabulime has not revealed the father of the second child whom she was beating up on the weekend.
“The victim was from a second relationship with a manfriend, whose identity she has totally refused to reveal. And the third child of four months is from her third relationship, with Male Isaac Male. We believe her anger towards her 2-year daughter, Gift, is transferred from the broken relationship with her father,” Enanga said.
Nabulime, 22, was captured in a video that went viral repeatedly beating her two-year-old daughter, with a sandal at their home in Busula “A” village, Wobulenzi town council.
The little girl who has since been identified as Gift fell down from the basin but Nabulime did not bother to help her and instead continued beating the victim even when she struggled to climb back into the basin.
“Surprisingly, the suspect accords her two other children, aged 4 years and 4 months, respectively, very good treatment,” Enanga said. “What is encouraging is that the victim was medically examined and her injuries are all external, she has no grave internal injuries. She has started playing normally with other children in a safe shelter.”
CID through CFPU has now embarked on establishing the true identity of her father and exploring the possibility of a reunion. Enanga said in case police fail to identify Gitft’s father, plans of settling the victim in a shelter home, with better child welfare programs will be considered.

“As the suspect goes to court, we pray that the court forbids her from having any unsupervised contact with the victim, and also prohibit her from contacting her new family, foster family or shelter home,” Enanga said.
CID through its director Tom Magambo has in the past weeks sheltered children and in some cases the mothers of the victims after their being subjected to inhumane treatment.
They include Esther Kyazike, who a fortnight ago sought refuge at CID after  relatives of her husband were allegedly planning to abduct her daughter girl who was allegedly defiled by the  biological father.
