Kataka FC has maintained its unbeaten run in the FUFA Big League after seeing off MYDA FC 2-0 at Mbale municipal stadium. Goals from Joel Baba Onziku and Marcus Christian strengthened Kataka’s position at the top of the table with 14 points in six matches.

Toldo Awanchango’s side could have led in the 26th minute through a missed penalty by Emmanuel Mukisa. The center referee awarded Simon Peter Okello awarded Kataka the spot-kick after MYDA defender Deo Mulondo handled a low cross from Emmanuel Mukisa in the box area. Half time ended goalless.
Toldo’s boys returned energized in the second half with a 47th-minute goal by Baba Joel Oziku increasing his tally to three goals this season. Second-half substitute Marcus Christian scored the second in the two extra minutes to seal the victory.
Kataka’s win keeps them on the top of the table with 14 points ahead of Maroons. Kataka retunes to action on December 16 against Calvary. Coach less MYDA only worsened their start of the season with that loss keeping them bottom of the table with 4 points from six games.
