URN.There was a small scuffle when Makindye East Member of Parliament Derrick Nyeko who was also blocked tried to forcefully pass through the road block, but the security tamed him him with warnings being arrested.
Police and the army are have cut off roads in Magere leading at the residence of NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine.
Deployments have been observed along Gayaza road and all feeder roads of Magere village in Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso District this morning.
Two road blocks has been mounted at Bagambaki lane, a one and a half kilometer road to Kyaguranyi’s residence. All journalists and residents are not allowed to go beyond the road blocks.
Kyaguranyi was expected to head in Kayunga to campaign for his candidate Harriet Nakwede in the LC five by-election campaign.

Nyeko demanded that the officers manning the road block explain whether Kyaguranyi is on house arrest.
“This is illegal, it is not acceptable in law, I want the officer in charge of this roadblock to come out and tell us why this road has been blocked. We want to know who is accountable for these illegal actions,” Nyeko said.
But on Monday Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said that no one was going to stop Kyagulanyi from heading to Kayunga to campaign for the NUP candidate.
Meanwhile security has also been reinforced on all other roads leading to Kayunga district, ahead of Thursday’s by-election.
