A Kenyan pastor has died while prophesying in a church in Maakalo village in Nansuma parish in Namayingo district. The deceased is 42-year-old Dominico Othieno, a resident of Funyula in Busia County in Kenya.
It is reported that the deceased had come to the area on Saturday to open Roho Mwangaza Church where he was prophesying. It is alleged while praying for two women who had problems Othieno started complaining of heart pain and died within a few minutes.
Patrick Mukalo, a member of the church member, says that when their pastor started complaining of heart pain, he asked for drinking water and collapsed before dying shortly after.
He says that they were shocked by the pastor’s death and they were still planning to take his body to his relatives in the Masaba sub-county to help them trace his relatives back to Funyula in Kenya.
Faustino Opiri, the Maakalo village LC I Chairperson, says that the church members informed him about the incident and he rushed to the scene only to find the pastor’s lifeless body lying in the church. He cautioned residents to be vigilant because of the mushrooming churches in the area that lack proper foundations.
The deceased’s body was still lying in the church in Makaalo village pending transportation to Mbehenyi village by the time of filing this story.
