Newly pipped four-star General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has asked Kenyan President William Ruto for forgiveness.
Muhoozi who is a son to president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni last week made international headlines after pointing to a possible invasion of Kenya by Ugandan forces a section of which were by then under his command.
The general took to his social media handle to apologize to president Ruto
“I have never had any problem with Afande Ruto. If I made a mistake anywhere, I ask him to forgive me as his young brother. Godbless East Africa!” Muhoozi wrote

Following Muhoozi’s tweets about Kenya last week, he was dropped from command of the land forces and replaced with Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga. He was however promoted to the rank of General.
In an apology letter to Kenyans, President Yoweri Museveni said he was rewarding Muhoozi for the many other good things he has done while in service to Uganda.
