Mr Oliver Mwanko, the Public relations & Communication Officer  East Africa Lapaire Group told this publication that the signing of this partnership is not only a win for them as company but also an opportunity to create awareness about eye care and what kind of services Lapaire has to offer.

“ We are happy to associate our brand with Daniel Lutaaya’s. Our main goal is to make eye-care accessible and affordable to everyone. We believe that this collaboration will help our brand gain visibility as we serve and take better care of  Ugandans’ eyesight. When you choose Lapaire Glasses, you can trust that you’re getting the best value for your money,” Mr Mwanko said in an interview.

The partnership also brought on board award winning journalist and Media personality Daniel Lutaaya as the brand ambassador of Lapaire.

Mr Lutaaya brings on board his PR and  journalistic skills to help Lapaire create quality content and help in raising awareness about Lapaire’s mission.

“This is a great partnership and is in line with our aim as Uganda’s first and top online news and content service to use our skills and team of experts to not only grow brands that we partner with but to also ensure that they thrive in this ever changing digital world,” Mr Lutaaya said.
He added, “It also gives me joy to announce that our viewers, readers and listeners now have a chance to also gain out of this deal. They just have to say the word 24/7 at any Lapaire shop to get 10,000 shs off any purchase, this coupled with the free eye tests means our people will get the much needed eye care that had been impossible to get due to very high prices at other eye care and eye wear providers in Uganda. Our commitment remains to produce the best, most engaging news and entertainment content possible using the latest technology and our top journalists and content creators on all our platforms.”

For News 24/7, this partnership represents an opportunity to expand its brand and reach a wider audience by teaming up with Lapaire one of the most popular and stylish eye wear collections on the market.

Through this partnership, News 24/7 will provide a platform for Lapaire to reach a wider audience, allowing them to educate more people about the importance of eye care and the benefits of wearing glasses. This will help reduce the stigma associated with wearing glasses and encourage more people to seek help for their vision problem.

Ms Shivan Auma, Head of Sales & Marketing at News 24/7 this partnership is just the beginning of many other projects with Lapaire.

“This partnership will create new opportunities for joint marketing campaigns that will increase brand awareness and drive sales for both companies. We’re confident that this collaboration will be mutually beneficial, and we’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership with Lapaire” she said.

The partnership promises to have a positive impact on individuals’ lives by helping them improve their vision and ultimately, their quality of eye health.

Lapaire Glasses is a Kenyan eyecare business founded by Swiss National, Jerome Lapaire in 2018. Lapaire, a lawyer by profession, started the company after realizing that access to eye care services was the main problem in Kenya, as consulting an eye specialist and getting eyeglasses required a lot of time and money that most people could not afford. With the name Lapaire meaning “a pair of” in French, Jerome set up a small team and launched Lapaire Glasses with the goal of providing free vision tests, quality eyeglasses, and top-notch customer service. The company quickly caught the attention of a venture capital fund, Saviu Ventures, and now operates 20 optical shops across Africa with over 150 employees, including eye professionals. With a goal to be the go-to eyewear brand in Africa, Lapaire is planning to open more clinics in major cities before venturing into rural areas. The company is also planning to expand in countries where it already operates, starting with more locations in Kenya, Uganda, and West Africa. Lapaire is constantly innovating and spends time raising awareness about eyecare, eye problems, and eyeglasses.
