By Friday evening, gates had been flung open as revealers donning sagging pants and light linen to make merry in what was dubbed “NyamOnTheNile” as the theme for this year’s Roast and Rhyme which is one of the most entertaining events organised by Swangz Avenue in partnership with Uganda Breweries which make Bell Larger.
The night was kick started with a bonfire on Friday night in which they experienced freestyle music, karaoke and poetry while feasting on wild roasted meat.
The three-day picnic experience commenced on Friday 30th June and concluded on 2nd July with a setting that featured a comfortable and cozy environment bringing friends and families together to bond over great love acoustic music and meat and roasting with beer as the perfect accompaniment.
This edition of the Roast and Rhyme was appropriately dubbed “Nyam On The Nile” and it did deliver on the name as revealers dug in on tons of grilled meats and cold beer all while basking and shaking off the best of live music and thrilling performances.
On Saturday, revealers stormed Jinja to relish in the various tourist attractions that the city boasts such as the breathtaking source of the Nile.
As the sun set on Saturday, guests gathered at the source of the Nile Gardens in Nile park to enjoy a relaxing evening by the banks of the river Nile. The night featured live music performances by top artists like Kohen Jaycee, Mun G and Sheebah Karungi accompanied by an after party featuring the most sought after Djs in the industry.
The festival concluded on Sunday with an all white brunch starting at 10:00Am held at Forever Resort Njeru. At the branch, attendees savored a variety of cuisines while enjoying soulful music performances providing a perfect winding down experience for all.
