The petition, submitted to Parliament on July 15, 2024, alleges that Ssekikubo not only seized their land but also subjected them to torture during the process.
In his directive, Tayebwa called on Minister Nabakooba to collaborate with other relevant government agencies to conduct a thorough investigation. The families involved sought Parliament’s intervention, claiming that their rights had been violated and their land was unjustly taken.
