Rukungiri is a six-hour drive 372km South West of Kampala along Masaka Mbarara highway on what is arguably the most dangerous stretch of road in Uganda. Just after Ntungamo town, on a turn to the right, things begin to look adventurous.
The Ntungamo-Rukungiri stretch is one of Uganda’s more beautiful highway sceneries with imposing hills on either side of the highway, dotted with impressive houses surrounded by vast banana plantations and dairy farms whose cows graze off. As far as the eye can see, it is rolling hills and farms.
I took a bumpy ride along the Rukungiri highway through the beautiful scenery with amazing birds and a place of peace and tranquility dominated by stunning valleys thus bringing the beauty of Uganda to the fore.
The hills and valleys with the green nature welcome you along the road this proves the beauty of Uganda as the Pearl of Africa. Adventure the beautiful scenery in Uganda.
