One person has been killed and three others are in critical condition after being beaten by an angry mob following cattle theft in Bukwo district.
Fredmark Chesang, the Sipi regional spokesperson said the incident happened in Kaptererwo Sub County in Bukwo district on September 16 2022, at 1.00am.
Chesang, has identified the four as being from the two communities of Pakot and Sebei but could not give the names of the victims by press time.
“I can confirm that there were four victims out of which two are Pokot and the other Sebei tribes.”
The deceased person is currently in Bukwo mortuary while three others are in Bukwo health center IV, for treatment.
“We managed to save three from the mob, but they are in critical condition at the health facility in Bukwo” Chesang said.
Meanwhile Chesang urged the public to hand in anyone suspected to have taken part in committing the offense to their nearest police formation in accordance to section 34 of criminal procedure and evidence code.
