The Anti-corruption court Kololo has on Thursday 20 granted a Shs10m cash bail to State Minister for Finance Planning Amos Lugoloobi.
The minister had since last week been arrested, charged and on Monday remanded to Luzira where he has spent three days over the Karamoja iron sheets scandal.
Appearing in Court today, the Principal Senior Grade One Magistrate, Ebert Asiimwe granted Lugoloobi bail, on conditions that he pays in cash but also surrenders his original title for one of his land pieces, his diplomatic passport and not to leave the country without permission from court.
His seven sureties were also given a non cash bail at Shs100M and case adjourned to June 2, however with strong emphasis on how violation of the bail terms will lead to automatic cancellation
Minister Lugoloobi was escorted with Ntenjeru North Constituency supporters together with some members of parliament who were all eager to hear from the magistrate,.
Lugoloobi remains among the three minsters that have, so far, been arrested, charged and remanded over the Karamoja iron sheets scandal.
