In a bid to trace the killers of a renown Ibrahim Isma  Tusubira alias Jajja Ichuli  the forensic unity of police has retrieved a used cartridge from Ibrahim’s death scene to examine and analyze part of this evidence from the crime spot to develop objective findings that can assist in further investigation if only they find any finger prints on the cartridge.

Detectives as well explored the area of the attack in search of possible video coverage captured by CCTV cameras at private residences in order to help them identify Isma’s attackers who are alleged to have escaped on a motorbike.

“If any people were within the neighborhood where the shooting happened, they should contact the police and share the CCTV camera footage. Our teams are also on ground to see if they can get CCTV camera footage from private individuals,” Kampala Metropolitan deputy spokesperson of police, Luke Owoyesigyire said.

Isma Olaxes, studied from Makerere University for a Bachelor of Commerce however later turned to be a professional painter in Sweden before he came back to Uganda in 2021.

“Isma was one of the successful bloggers ever that returned to Uganda,’’ Wisdom Kaye said while quoting Edward Ssendikadiwa during a television show.

Kaye added that Isma was a kind of guy who came with nothing amongst those that came from Sweden in his advanced years, came back and made a record. He was buried at his ancestral home in Nkokonjeru, Buikwe District, yesterday.

Isma Olaxes, known to many as the popular blogger Iculi, was shot dead in the streets of Kyanja, leaving his fans and followers shocked and devastated. The news of his death spread like wildfire across social media, with many expressing their grief and disbelief.

Isma Olaxes, had always been an advocate for free speech and transparency. He had made a name for himself by speaking out against corruption and injustices in his home country, often using his platform to shed light on issues that were otherwise ignored by mainstream media.

The motive for the killing remains a mystery, and many speculated that it was politically motivated.

The authorities have been quick to launch an investigation into the incident, there are no leads yet as to who the perpetrators were or what their motives might have been. Rumors and speculation are in circulation, some suggesting that Isma’s death was politically motivated, while others believed it was a targeted attack by individuals who disagreed with his views.

Recently Isma Olaxes, a controversial blogger known for his sharp tongue and unapologetic views, had just released a video that would send shockwaves through the political establishment. In the video, Isma celebrated the death of Minister Charles Okello Engola, accusing him of neglecting his duties and failing to look after his workers.

His followers shared his articles and videos, spreading his message of justice and equality to a wider audience. His death only served to strengthen the resolve of those who shared his vision, and his memory became a rallying cry for those fighting against corruption and oppression.
