In the race to dominate Africa and the streams beyond it, Airtel Uganda has launched a new tagline, “A reason to imagine” which will replace the “smartphone network”.
This new tagline will encompass various interventions from the youth with a view to inspire innovations and catapult technological advancement.
For centuries Airtel Uganda has had quite a number of activities, projects and plans directed at improving the unsearchable potential of the dear continent Africa exposing her to far unreachable parts of the universe.
Amongst this included financial inclusion strategies like an open Application Programming Interface [API]; a set up that enables different systems to communicate to one another effectively, easing business processes and service delivery, “The Voice Africa” as one of Airtel’s Fanscinating discoveries that portray Africa’s talent to other continents amongst others that are currently ongoing.
According to Airtel Africa this new campaign ‘Reason to Imagine’ is driven by the insight that in Africa, imagination is the only qualification that matters and showcases Airtel Africa’s role in harnessing this potential by delivering relevant solutions to consumers that enhance digital and financial inclusion.
“The Reason to Imagine campaign highlights Airtel Africa’s status as an enabler of young people’s dreams and ambitions, whatever these might be. To this end, the campaign seeks to celebrate the energy, creativity, and innovation of Africa’s young people,” Airtel’s Press Document stated in part.
According to Statista.com, Africa has the youngest population in the world with 23 countries with the lowest median age including Uganda who is Airtel’s direct campaign beneficiary.
“It’s a well understood fact, youth are central to achieving Uganda’s potential. About 53% of Uganda’s population is under the age of 30 – and empowering this new generation is transformative for the future of this country and the region,” Mr. Manoj Murali the Managing Director Airtel Uganda Said while launching Reason to Imagine Campaign.
“Uganda Needs More of You campaigns that reveal the potential of young Ugandans who are harnessing the power of technology to transform their lives and their communities.” Murali added.
Airtel Africa present in 14 countries in our continent offers an integrated suite of telecommunications solutions to its subscribers, including mobile voice and data services as well as mobile money services both nationally and internationally.
