The body of an unidentified man has been recovered from one of the rooms at Palace lodge in Lyantonde town council. The deceased, believed to be in his late 30s, reportedly checked in the lodge last night.
The employees at the lodge knocked on the deceased’s door this morning without getting any response from the occupants. One of the employees told URN on condition of anonymity that they used a spare key to gain access to the room where they found the deceased’s lifeless body lying on the bed.
They informed their boss ‘Master Mukasa’ who immediately notified the police about the shocking incident. Police detectives searched the body for some documents before they took it for postmortem at Lyantonde hospital as they conduct investigations.
Kellen Namara, the Acting Lyantonde District Police Commander, confirmed the incident, saying that they are still looking for details about the incident. Muhammad Nsubuga, the Regional Police Spokesperson, says that circumstances under which the man died are still unknown. He cautioned hotel and lodge owners to always record the details of their guests for security reasons and close follow up.
