As numbers of Covid19 patients surge, the Ministry of Health has released a memoir with guidelines on how to handle patients with mild symptoms from home.
The guidelines which are segmented into different categories of age, provide the kind of medication one out to receive.
“Due to the high number of covid19 patients, the hospitals are full and may not be able to admit all those that test positive for covid19,” reads the memoir in part.
The memoir advises on 14 days isolation while administering paracetamol, zinc tablets, vitamin D and Amoxicillin for the adults.
The ministry also advises on smaller portions of the same remedies to those who are 12 years and below as well as children under five years.
“Always monitor for increased temperatures, mental state, increased heart and respiratory rate of two times the normal rate and refer patient to the nearest facility if symptoms persist or the sickness worsens,” says the ministry.
