More than ten family members in Lanyirinyiri parish in Lira Palwo Sub County in Agago district after losing their houses to fire.
The fire that broke out in the wee hours of Monday morning destroyed property worth an unspecified amount of money.
According to information gathered by our reporter, the fire destroyed four sacks of Simsim, four sacks of sorghum, and Shillings 500,000 for a savings group in the village among others.
Okech Alik, a resident of Wimunupecek village and one of the fire victims, says that he lost everything in the fire disaster leaving him hopeless with his nine children and other relatives.
Geoffrey Oweka, the Lira Palwo sub-county LC III chairperson, said they are yet to establish the cause of the fire.
He pleaded with well-wishers and other organizations to intervene and help the affected family since they are now living under a tree.
