The 12th Eastern Africa university games hosted at Ndejje University gains momentum as it enters day two with a number of games being played at different venues. Among the games that were played yesterday 18th was the men’s Rugby where five teams competed to get the winner.
Uganda was represented by four teams that’s to say Uganda Christian University, Ndejje University, Kyambogo University and Makerere University while Kenya represented by Strathmore which emerged the winner followed by Kyambogo University in the second position and Makerere university in the third place both from Uganda.
” These boys play both fifteens and sevens so for them to come here and give the show and the results they have given today its kudos to them kudos to their hard work.” Said Louis Kisia the Strathmore university rugby coach.
Coach Kisia attached his win to the Almighty and the hard work displayed by his players.
” Am happy with the Uganda side they came in large numbers… I want to thank them in particular from the bottom of my heart.”
The game’s are still going on with universities competing in different disciplines till Wednesday 21st this monthly and that will be the crowning of the overall champion.
