While observation the recently concluded Eid celebrations, most of the leaders retorted the homosexuality talk asking President Museveni to accent to the bill that he recently sent back to parliament for review.
Moslems were also reminded of how maintaining their good morals could help impact the society and also reduce the chances of homosexuality vice indicating that the deteriorating morals have unfortunately degraded the society, uprooted the good service and negatively affected the entire system.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with News 24/7, shortly after the prayers, Sheikh Bashir Nyanzi who led the prayers at Majid Noor, Katwe noted that it was incumbent for Moslems to spearhead the gospel of good morals as this would help change the notion especially that its defiance has been the catalyst to all vices in the society.
According to the sheikh, the lack of dedication specially on to the young generation was one of those that had caused the dilemma and that parents needed to start as early as possible to instill good morals and behaviors in their children.
“It’s quite unfortunate that the lack of morals begins with us as parents, our lack of discipline has brought up an immoral society onto our selves, Sheikh noted. Emphasizing that nobody could help better groom a child than their parents.
Sheikh Nyanzi noted, in light with the Islamic faith, prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was nothing but the best in terms of character and that a lot of people embraced lslam because of his morals
He adds that at least by seven, the brain of a child is ready to grasp some basic information and lessons about morality and that it was rightful for any child be introduced to different kinds of morals like respecting their leaders, parents, have chastity and upholding their dignity that they may be guided in future
And though parents have not yet lived to the standards of the past generations, he urged that it was now time to embrace the true spirit of lslam and adopt good morals, maintain the good ties with all people and most of all be the people that the world will emulate.
