The news of Pallaso’s untimely cancellation from the Purple Party London Edition has spread like wildfire in the Ugandan community at home and also those living in London.
The Sitya Danger singer Alien Skin, had declared that he felt rather uncomfortable sharing a stage with Pallaso and asked the organizers to choose one of the them. When they failed to, he decided that when would not be performing.
“They failed to choose one so l’ve decided to stay in Uganda” Alien Skin twitted.
The event which is scheduled to happen on the 24th of June is meant to be a reunion of sorts, bringing together Ugandans living in Europe to celebrate their heritage and culture through music and dance. But the news of Pallaso’s absence has dampened the spirits of many who were eagerly looking forward to his performance.
In the weeks leading up to the event , Pallaso had been embroiled in a vicious feud with fellow artist Alien Skin in Kampala. The two had exchanged verbal jabs on social media, with their fans taking sides and adding fuel to the fire. The situation had escalated quickly, with both artists issuing threats and insults to each other.
But things took a rather violent turn when Pallaso and Alien Skin got into a physical altercation at a popular nightclub in Kampala. The incident was captured on camera, and within minutes the footage went viral on social media. In the video, Pallaso is seen assaulting Alien Skin and the latter doesn’t punch back.
Due to public demand , the management of the Royal Regency Hall, where the Purple Party London Edition is meant to take place, have informed the event organizers that Pallaso will not be allowed to perform at the party due to the unforeseeable circumstances raised by the incident in Kampala.
“Hello my people in London, a decision has been made to cancel my performance at the Purple party in London. While I recognize that this news is disappointing, I hope you can understand and respect the decision just like i have. I apologize to those who have made special arrangements to attend and support me.” Pallaso tweeted.
Now that they have fulfilled all the terms and conditions set by Alien Skin, the “Ghetto Star” will be flying to London this evening for the Purple Party Tour slated for this Saturday.
