The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) has said that President Museveni will be hosting is counterpart, the President of Iran, Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi, for a two-day state visit beginning this Wednesday, citing possible strengthening of diplomatic ties and promote cooperation between the two nations.
The state visit is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, and will conclude on Thursday, July 13, 2023. During the visit, the two leaders will engage in bilateral talks at State House, Entebbe, on the first day.
“On the first day, the two leaders will hold bilateral talks at State House, Entebbe, and address the media at 11am. The address will be relayed live on Television. In the afternoon, the two Heads-Of-State will address a business
forum at Al-Mustafa University, Kyengera Wakiso District,” in part reads a statement from State House released this morning.
President Museveni and President Ssayyid are expected to holdbilateral talks, discussing matters of mutual interest, regional cooperation, and potential areas for collaboration in various sectors. The visit presents an opportunity for both leaders to deepen diplomatic relations and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in areas such as agriculture, energy, education, and technology.
