The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (Ubos) has indicated that they are under the process to recruit 110 enumerators for the forthcoming census exercise.
Ubos bosses indicated that the temporary workers will.be charged with data collection from households across the using the biometric machines that are being acquired.
Mr Didacus Okoth the Principle Public Relations officer of the entity said that this is another opportunity to create jobs for Ugandans.
“Main role is to collect household information as guided by the questionnaire and they will be well facilitated for that. We are already in the process and we shall soon announce to the entire country when the process is done,” Okoth said.
Last week, UBOS announced that they had decided to revise the dates for the population census exercise which was meant to happen next month citing budgetary delays and the date is yet to determined
