Kasangati residents are on edge following the death of a patient at Kasangati Health Centre IV who presented with ebola-like symptoms.
According to Dr Ssejibwa Peter, the deceased is a 22-year-old male student from Namulonge, Busukuma sub-county, and died yesterday at 5 PM after presenting symptoms of Ebola Virus Disease EVD.
Health workers have since taken blood samples from the deceased to perform tests that could prove if indeed this patient died of ebola and not any other disease.
In a video published online by KFM a health official in a full-body PPE suit is seen being sanitized after taking the sample from the dead patient.
