Minister of Information Dr Chris Baryomunsi has said that his life is out of danger following his sudden collapse in his constituency before he was hurriedly airlifted to Mulago Hospital in Kampala.
“Friends, yesterday I had a black out while in my constituency. I was moving from one church function to another. I was rushed to Kambuga Hosp and then airlifted to Mulago Hospital. Am now stable and out of danger. The medical team is carrying out further tests. No need to worry,” Mr Baryomunsi said using his official social media platforms.
Reports about Dr Baryomunsi’s illness broke to the internet last evening indicating that the Kinkizi East member of parliament fainted at around 6pm while on his way from Ruhija in Muramba Parish, Rutenga sub county where he had donated iron sheets to Church of Uganda’s Kyakikyere church.
This raised panic and sent a frantic mood into the government as several officials tweeted wishing the spokesperson a quick recovery.
In his tweet this afternoon, Dr Baryomunsi assured the public that he’s out of danger and his medical team is doing everything possible to ensure his healthy stability.
